The Effect of Perceived Parenting Styles upon the Emotional Problems of Middle School Students -The Mediating Effect of Ego-Resilience-

Abstract
This study sought to investigate the mediating effect of ego-resilience on the relationship between parenting Styles and the emotional problems of middle school students, panel data from the KCYPS(2011) for 2th Graders in middle schools was used for the purposes of this research and 2.265 case were analyzed, Data were analyzed by means of pearson``s correlation and structural equation modeling . the results were as follws: First, Positive parenting behaviors were positively associated with the ego-resilience of middle school students and Negative parenting behaviors were negatively associated with ego-resilience. Positive Parenting behaviors were Negatively associated with the emotional problems of middle school students and negative parenting behaviors were positively associated with emotional problems. Second, the perceived positive, negative parenting styles of middle school students clearly revealed the influence upon not on ont only the direct impact on every emotional problem, but also the indirect impact on emotional problems through ego-resilience. Therefore, parenting styles revealed the influence upon the associated ego-resilience and the general emotional problems within the psychosocial developmental domain.
